Original recipe by Patsy Catsos from the Flavor without FODMAPs Cookbook. Recipe modified by Colleen Francioli Wheat-free, gluten-free, lactose-free, low-FODMAP


½ cup mayonnaise
½ cup lactose-free sour cream
¼ cup marmalade
3 tablespoons lemon juice, freshly squeezed
1 ½ teaspoons Madras curry powder
½ teaspoon cumin
½ teaspoon coriander
¼ teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground
½ cup red bell pepper, chopped
1 cup cooked basmati rice
1 ½ cups seedless green grapes, halved
2 cups cooked chicken


1- Combine mayonnaise, sour cream, marmalade, lemon juice and spices in a large bowl.
2- Add remaining ingredients and stir gently to evenly distribute the dressing.
3- Garnish with walnuts or slivered almonds. Or add it to a wheat-free wrap!


This recipe was originally adapted from the cookbook “Flavor without FODMAPs” by Patsy Catsos, MS, RDN, LD. It was then modified with lactose-free sour cream instead of plain sour cream to make it also enjoyable for those who have to negate lactose entirely. We also used less rice and grapes.
