Quick facts:

Hi there, nice to (informally) meet you.  My name is Colleen Francioli and I am a Certified Nutritionist Consultant.  I grew up on Long Island in New York.  I have lived in New Hampshire, Boston, New York City and Los Angeles.  I am now located in North County, San Diego, California and am a mother of a beautiful boy born in 2015 (with baby number two on the way) and wife to an incredible human being.  I run my business under BonCalme LLC (boncalme.com).  My past experience includes interning with the Los Angeles Times to working as a full-time photographer, to running large and small campaigns as a digital marketing strategist for health, wellness, lifestyle, hospitality, design and consumer goods.  I provide marketing consulting to brands and also provide educational nutrition on FODMAPLife.com and BonCalme.com.

Take a look at this past case study explaining my work with a pharmaceutical company targeting an audience for a rare disease.

I offer nutritional tips, advice, and education mainly for the Low-FODMAP Diet, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, other digestive issues, and food intolerances. I also develop recipes, and as a Sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers, I occasionally share my knowledge of wine.  Photography was my first passion and still remains close to my heart.  Be on the lookout for my photos taken with my Canon EOS 5D Mark III DSLR Camera.

Since the inception of FODMAPLife.com I have run a number of different campaigns with the following brands: Justin’s, GoMacro, Glutino, Chebe, Bob’s Red Mill, Ian’s, Udi’s, Uncle Harry’s, R.W. Garcia’s, Safe Catch, Sonoma Syrup Co. and many more.

I love to partner with brands that I personally find delicious, helpful and/or inspiring. I create delicious recipes and if a product is not a food product, but related to helping digestion or overall health, I will try the products for myself and share reviews. I write primarily about the low-FODMAP diet for IBS but will consider writing recipes or reviews for other topics, as long as the content is helpful to my audience of IBS sufferers, or those with IBD, celiac disease, food intolerances, food allergies or auto-immune conditions like Hashimoto’s disease, which I have.  Please ask me for a media kit and contact me to chat about how we can work together.

I am also personally passionate about reducing plastic and helping to keep our oceans clean.  You can make a difference by visiting this site.   I am also a supporter of the International Fund for Animal Welfare, for the conservation of wildlife, and the rescue of domestic animals.  Visit their website to learn how you can make a difference.

    Hi Colleen,

My name is Kathleen Engel and I am an editor at Health Monitor Network in Montvale, NJ. My company publishes guides on various health conditions that are distributed free to patients through doctors’ offices.

Right now I am working on the next issue of our guide to IBS-C and CIC and wondered if this might be your avenue of expertise. If so, would you be willing to be interviewed? I am looking for “tips” for our readers who struggle with constipation.

I’d be happy to send you a PDF of our last issue so you can review it before deciding whether you’d like to participate. Email me and I’ll get it out to you ASAP.

    Thank you, Colleen.

    Best,

    Kathleen Engel
